Book Description:
When Suzie M. Bosko married a man in prison, her life was thrown into chaos. Verbal and emotional abuse wreaked havoc on her mind, her heart, and destroyed her self-esteem. Suffering at the hands of a narcissist and at her wit’s end, she made a choice.
She hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, 800 miles of rugged and beautiful wilderness – alone. While hiking, Suzie battled the inner turmoil and anxiety from her husband’s narcissistic abuse, and she discovered the strange yet real parallels between being alone on the trail and being alone in her marriage.
Now, Suzie shares her story in a heartfelt and emotional account, exploring how she began her journey of self-discovery and overcame the years of abuse that she endured in her prison relationship. Told with gripping detail and with profound insights into life, marriage, anxiety and grief, this book is her personal story about becoming Uniquely Unlocked.
Sharing her perspective on her dream of traditional marriage, societal stereotypes of women who fall for inmates, and the events which led her to marry her now ex-husband, this incredible memoir is a reflection of her escape from the hamster wheel of narcissistic abuse and how she reclaimed her life.
